1翻の基本役
リーチ・タンヤオ・平和・役牌（三元牌・自風・場風）・一発で大半の和了りが成立します。
2翻と高得点形
ダブルリーチ・七対子・三色同順・一気通貫が2翻。門前清一色6翻、混一色3翻、対々和2翻。
役満
国士無双・大四喜・大三元・四暗刻・字一色・清老頭・緑一色・九蓮宝燈など。当サイトは役を自動判定し、役満の点数も正しく計算します。
門前役と積み重ね
リーチ（1翻）はテンパイ宣言で手を固定し、一発（1翻）はその直後の1巡で和了ると加算、門前ツモ（1翻）は門前自摸を評価します。この3つは重なるので、門前リーチは型なしでも3翻になります。
符と点数の関係
基本点 = 符 × 2^(2+翻) で、親とツモ払いで倍増します。25符は七対子のみ、多くは30-40符。2,000点で満貫に打ち切りなので5翻は必ず満貫です。当サイトは和了りごとに翻・符・点数を表示します。
